Bulega struck first in 2026, carving out an early Riders’ Championship lead with Bassani in second

The 2026 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship campaign has taken off from WorldSBK’s most storied venue, the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit! Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) shot off the line in Round 1, winning all three races, with Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) taking a pair of podiums behind him, Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team) and Lorenzo Baldassarri (Team GoEleven), each earned their WorldSBK stripes as they each landed their first podium.
